Here are some Christmas Craft ideas. Keep checking back as I'll be adding more!

Here’s what you’ll need:

Clear Plastic Cups

Matte Mod Podge (or mix 1:2 glue and water if you don’t have Mod Podge)

Paint or Foam Brush

Yellow and Orange Tissue Paper (or other colours too)

LED Tealights

Nativity Silhouette Printable

Hot Glue Gun

Yellow Ribbon

Optional:  Vellum Paper (instead of the cutting out the nativity)

Full instructions found here Lighted Nativity Ornament - I Can Teach My Child! but the simpler option for UK LED lights would be to use a piece of card to make a base for the cup to hold the light in the cup.

Stained Glass Nativity materials:

  • Sticky backed plastic
  • Nativity Silhouette – Free Nativity Printable
  • Colorful tissue paper cut into squares
  • Scissors
  1. Print and cut out your nativity
  2. Lay out your contact paper sticky side up.
  3. Center your nativity silhouette on top of the contact paper.
  4. Begin placing squares of tissue paper inside the nativity silhouette to create the look of stained glass.
  5. Once the nativity is filled with tissue paper, lay a second sheet of contact paper on top of the entire project.  Be careful not to trap air bubbles.
  6. Trim the excess contact paper with scissors.
  7. You can either tape your stained glass nativity to your window or use a hole punch and hang it from a string.  Either way, it will look great.

Family Angels

Take some family photos and give them wings and halos, make yourselves part of the Christmas story as the messengers who share the good news!

These are some of the crafts from last year's sheep hunt.

Why not try these simple craft stick (lolly stick) crafts? I find pva glue or double sided sticky tape works well on the sticks.

or maybe make a Christmas tree?

If you don't have craft sticks, you could try making these Reindeer with real sticks!

With some paper and glue you could put together this Christmas tree picture which tells of the real meaning behind CHRISTmas.

Write these verses on strips of paper (coloured looks nice but you can use white and then colour it in)

  2. All the Earth worships Thee (Psalm 66:4)
  3.  His name shall endure forever (Psalm 72: 17)

  6. He will save His people from their sins (Matthew 1:20-21)
  7. For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given (Isaiah 9:6)
  8. He said, “Thou art My Son; on this day have I begotten Thee” (Psalm 2:7)
  9. We have seen His star in the east, and are come to worship Him (Matthew 2:2)
  10. You will find a babe wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger (Luke 2:12)
  11. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord (Luke 2:11)
  12. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel (Isaiah 7:14)
